When the kids come in,
I finally feel complete
Though I can’t see them, I
know that they can see me
I dance on my stage hoping
that they are watching
I sing them my song and
know that they can hear me
As the time flies, nightly I go home
There the man he hides,
chills me to the bone
And no matter what I say or where I go
He always seems so shocking
I know he once cared, but
then one day it all changed
It was forbidden, but
that’s the day the girl came.
I couldn’t see her, but
suddenly I could hear her.
Screaming so loudly,
then there was silence.
But you shouldn’t blame her,
she wasn’t controlling.
If you close your eyes,
and live like me,
then you would know.
The sounds that you hear,
they can never go.
