when i was just a little girl

my mother told me fairytale magic

kingdoms long ago in wonderland so far away

forests where the flowers sang

a sweet enchanting melody

where all the creatures of the land

they lived in perfect harmony

there lived a beauty pure and fair

with rosy cheeks and golden hair

her faith in love it kept her strong

and so she lived without a care

i hung off every word she spoke

and dreamt of how that place would be

if i could wear those pretty shoes

and how that dress would look on me

the apples grew with sour taste

suddenly the picture changed

when envy showed its ugly face

cause lurking in the shadows

the jealousy conspire

to take her from the world she knew

lock her in a tower

wicked webs of deceit

had to tell her she was weak because they fed her
