watching the waves drifting by

watching the clouds start to cry

it takes my breath and i'm wondering why

it's just a night with a thundering sky

it holds my gaze when the lightning appears

it lets me go and it starts to clear

see the ocean it's running away

it comes and goes but nothing to say

it's fine in itself

it's never lost

it gives of itself
