When I open up Your word

I see an ancient flame burning through the ages

It will never wax or wane

When I gaze into Your heart I see unending love

Flowing in your bloodstream through vessels wide as oceans

Constant is Your love

And steadfast is Your word

Letters etched into the sky they cannot be removed

Like aromas in the morning

As the Son pierces the night

Hemmed within the bow of love and with Your grace astern

I'll cross the anxious waters

In the vessel of Your promise

Your covenant is sure

Spoken never void

Caught in the rapids of Your promise is the

Safest place to be

Lost in the ebb and flow of the voyage you set me on

I trust the story You are writing Lord as wild as it may be

I'm safe beneath Your wings

I am swept away

And here within the chaos I will stay

Like a leaf swept beneath

I'm in the undercurrent

It pulls me out to sea

And darkness is the only thing I see

In waters deep the more completely I can feel your presence

When the storm arrives rejoice for He's the Prince of Peace

The gnashing of the sea: the instrument of victory

Oh my God is for me I am not alone

When the waves are roaring be reminded of the Lion
