“What Do I Say (What Do I Do)”
What do you say to a child with a broken heart.
Where do you begin, when his life’s falling apart.
I should’ve known.
My mother should’ve told me.
I cannot believe the secrets they keep.
It’s alright, it had to come to the light.
Maybe not this way
But it’s going to be ok.
If I do this, God please protect me.
I know it’s not right.
But I need some relief.
(What do I do?)
What do you say to a child with a broken heart.
I should’ve known. My mother should’ve told me.
He’s ok Lord. I know you are going to make a way.
It’ll be alright, in the morning.
Cause I’m dreaming, with a broken heart.
When I go from, from the start.
When these tears are in my eyes.
Could they tell us so many lies?
(What do I do?)
What do you do, with a child with a broken heart.
I should’ve known; my mother should’ve told me. (yeah)
Oh Lord, oh Lord.
Oh Lord, we need you to come by Jesus.
It’ll be alright in the morning.
We should pray.
I need you, Jesus.
I need you, Lord. (yes, I do, yes, I do)
Oh Lord I stretch my hands to you.
Oh Lord, we need you come on Jesus yeah.
It’ll be alright, in the morning. (it’ll be alright...)
Father, I come to you with this world in crisis.
We need your help.
Only you can fix it.
In Jesus name, Amen.
