And so it was that the child was rescued from the abyss of pain

Suffering and despair

For only by facing the mirror

Beholding your natural face in the glass

Examining yourselves

And knowing your own selves

Can you hope to find the child that lives within you

Honesty is the key that would unlock this door

But only courage will allow you to pass through

And there you will find him full of love joy hope and peace

Who were you before the world broke you

Before it left you scarred, bruised, alone, afraid

Who were you before your trust was broken

Your innocence was stolen

Leaving you abandoned and lost

Perhaps you too can find the child within

And when you do

Strengthen him with the words of the most high

And nourish him with the fruit of the spirit

Till he learns to love again

Till he learns to hope again

And now we must part ways

But this is my hope for you

This is my prayer for you
