How queer everything is today
I wonder if I've been changed in the night?
Was I the same when I got up this morning?
I almost think I can remember feeling a little different
But if I'm not the same, who in the world am I?
I opened my eyes and saw the sunlight breaking through the trees
And how the ground was covered with beautiful flowers
And I ran off into the woods looking for them
Each time I picked one
I thought that I could see an even more beautiful one a little way off,
And I ran after it
Going further and further into the woods listening them singing:
“Haven't you seen the beautiful flowers that are blossoming on the other side of the river?
Why don't you go and take a look?”
They wanted me to leave the path
But I took care and went straight to my way
Am I gonna swim

Suddenly a fox came close and told me:
“I’m hungry, there’s a white little rabbit on the other side of the river, but I can’t reach it.
Could you please help a little starving fox?’’
But when I looked at its mouth and saw all the blood,
I sniffed the trick and went straight my way
Until a huge tree stopped me, and said:
‘’I’ve heard that on the other bank of the river my brothers gave birth to juicy apples,
would you like to taste them?’’
As I turned, trying to see on the other side of the stream
I was pushed down the creek
