That I've seen more powder than the Shea Stadium third baseline
Knows that I've had more than a few episodes
That I've gone to bed thinking that my heart might explode
Maybe just shut off
There's a knife in my back and the handle's been sawed off
Like a lot of kids I was walking around sauced
Wonderin' what the f**k happened countin' the friends that I lost
On one hand most of my friends were one thing
And addicts spawn quick like chicks who are too trusting
Basically everyone I was surrounded with
Was counterfeit junkies who couldn't find a way out of it
When I look back and re-hash the past
F**k a second pass I was given a fourth and fifth chance
But as sure as track marks don't fade
As far as a relapse I'm still one hit away

Some kids get high some kids succumb to drugs
I pretty much made it out unscathed
Except my body's shutting down and I piss blood some days
